Information about the Ladies Section
Pryors Hayes Golf Club has a very friendly, sociable Ladies Section whose members aim to ensure that new members are always made to feel welcome.
There are 35 active lady members as of August 2026. Formal Stableford and Medal games are played on Thursdays and Saturdays, and there is also a Roll Up WhatsApp group for social golf.
The section has a busy schedule throughout the year, including trophy competitions and occasional fun events such as a Texas Scramble. There are knockout competitions for the ladies, mixed knockouts, joint competitions and social events with the Mens and Seniors Sections.

New members
The Lady Captain and Ladies Committee members are committed to helping new members settle into the club. A representative is usually available to assist with questions, and the Lady Captain will make contact soon after you join to introduce herself, welcome you to the club and offer any help or support you may need.
If you are new to golf and do not yet have a handicap, the Lady Captain can help you understand the process and arrange for ladies to mark your cards.

Getting a handicap
A new member without a handicap will need to submit three 18-hole cards, or six 9-hole cards, to make a total of 54 holes. These cards must be marked by a member who has a competition handicap.
Once all cards are completed, they should be photographed and emailed to Peter Stuart, Director of Golf, at info@pryorshayes.co.uk. Peter will forward them to the Handicap Secretary, Pete Goulden, who will provide your official handicap.
Competitions
Once you have registered with BRS and downloaded the app, you can book your tee time for a competition or a casual golf round. Competitions are usually played as 3-balls.
Stableford competitions are played on Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the year. Seven-day members may play in both because they are classed as separate competitions. For five-day members, the designated competition day is Thursday.
Medal competitions are played twice monthly during the summer season, from April to October, as 3-balls on both Thursdays and Saturdays. Seven-day members may play in both.

Roll Up WhatsApp group
The Roll Up WhatsApp group is a useful platform for arranging a sociable casual round on any day of the week. Flexible members are also welcome to join.

Support details
General enquiries should be made to Peter Stuart, Director of Golf. Peter should also be contacted about any incident or accident on the course affecting a member or visitor.
Pro Shop
The Pro Shop has partnered with Foremost for members golfing needs. Members can order items through the online shop and have them delivered to the Pro Shop for collection.
If a member finds an item for less elsewhere, Peter will aim to match that price and give a 10% discount. If you change your mind after ordering, a full refund will be given.
