Golf Club of the Year Awards

"And the winner is.....Pryors Hayes!"

Corks are popping at our Cheshire based golf club. Our established 18 hole parkland club has won the prestigious Club Mirror ‘Golf Club of the year Award' for 2010.

Following on from last years second place award in the same event the club went one better in 2010 winning the top UK Golf Club accolade. Pryors Hayes won against stiff competition from the cream of the UK golf clubs.

This year's annual award ceremony was held on November 10 at the Palace Hotel Manchester where, during a sparkling occasion the awards were presented by BBC TV sports personality Steve Ryder.Our very own  Martin Redrup was delighted to receive the winners' commemorative plate which he says will occupy pride of place in the club house.

Martin Says

"Being chosen as runner up in 2009 was an absolute honour, to win the top award for 2010 is just fantastic. The award justifies all the hard work undertaken by the whole team who always strive to deliver the very best service for everyone, and in partnership with members and visiting players uphold the great traditions of golf and companionship. In that respect this award is for all of us and I would like to publically thank my staff, the committees, members and regular visitors for their ongoing support and loyalty".

When making their deliberations the Club Mirror judging committee take into account submitted reports from a team of anonymous ‘mystery shoppers'. The judges examine every aspect of club life and in addition to the obvious sporting aspects they pay particular attention to all important off course facilities and activities.

Pryors Hayes has won the the National Golf Club of the year award. Our Golf Club won 2 events in 2010 we were voted the:
